The RCMP , the Commons was told , detained 56,515 illegal immigrants in the three years following Trudeau’s tweet — mostly Haitians and Nigerians — yet , there are still 52,109 illegals , or “ irregulars ” as the Trudeau Liberals prefer , who remain in Canada.

Democrats appeared to have fallen short on Thursday in their bid to secure the votes needed to call witnesses in U.S. President Trump’s impeachment trial , clearing the way for Trump’s likely acquittal as early as this weekend.
Democrats had urged a handful of Republicans to support their effort to call witnesses , but their hopes appeared dashed when Republican Senator Lamar Alexander , who had been undecided, declared further evidence in the case was unnecessary.
“ There is no need for more evidence to prove something that has already been proven and that does not meet the United States Constitution’s high bar for an impeachable offense ” Alexander said in a statement after the evening session had concluded.
Trump’s acquittal would allow him to claim vindication just as the Democratic Party holds its first nominating contest for the Nov. 3 election in Iowa on Monday.

They will submit tan-colored cards to Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. , who will read the questions aloud. The cards they submit will include their questions , names , signatures and the side they want to answer the question. Under the rules , senators cannot direct questions at other senators , but a question can be submitted by more than one lawmaker.

Middle Class Prosperity Minister Says Canada Can’t Measure Who Is In The Middle Class
Since her cabinet position as minister of middle class prosperity and associate minister of finance was announced, Fortier has been dogged with questions about she defines the middle class. However , speaking on CTV Power Play shortly after being appointed to cabinet in November , she could not do so.
” There’s no unique definition for middle class ” she told host Joyce Napier.
” We have to make sure we represent the realities in a rural , remote or even urban setting , regional differences … and respond to the needs of families.”
She added that would be learning more about her role in her mandate letter , which has since been released. In it , Fortier is tasked mainly with supporting the Ministry of Finance. However , the few times the words ” middle class ” are mentioned in the letter , their definition remains unclear.
The letter also tells Fortier to work with finance officials to ensure the department has ” the analytical and advisory capabilities that it needs to support and measure the impact of an economic agenda focused on growing the middle class and those people working hard to join it.”
Without any official statistical measure for that group , it’s unclear how her ministry plans to know whether that group has grown in size or whose quality of life she is measuring.
Without a ‘ clear measure for the statistical size of that group ‘ , how the Hell can she even begin to ‘ learn ‘ how to earn an over bloated Ministerial portfolio position in the government ?!!! …

Hockey Hall of Famer Ed Belfour was arrested on Tuesday morning in Bowling Green, KY on mischief and intoxication charges.
An arrest report obtained by the Bowling Green Daily News says the 54-year-old Eddie Belfour was ” manifestly under the influence of alcohol to a point he was a danger to himself and others.”
Judgin’ by that mug shot , I’d say Eddie was relivin’ his Stanley Cup series game winner !!! …

But if recent leaks are correct, the US president seems to be preparing to announce a deal that suits his supporters and Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
President Trump may believe , truly and without doubt , that he is offering the ” deal of the century “. It might be for Mr Netanyahu. Israel may be given the green light to annex large parts of the occupied West Bank based on the areas in which it has settled Jews.
The Palestinians will be told that it is in their best interests to accept reality , concentrate on economic sweeteners instead of defeated national aspirations and realize fast that they would be making a grave mistake to turn the deal down.
But they are already boycotting the Trump Administration because of its overtly pro-Israeli agenda , and they are planning a ” day of rage ” …

Democrats demanding new witnesses in Donald Trump’s impeachment trial are seizing on a report that the U.S. President ordered former national security adviser John Bolton to keep military aid to Ukraine frozen in a bid to coerce political favours.
The revelation , first reported by the New York Times, heaped new pressure on a handful of Republican senators who may be interested in hearing testimony from Bolton and other witnesses in a process that could significantly delay Trump’s hopes for a swift acquittal as soon as this week .
