This is how it’s shaping up …

Democrats have grown infuriated by Attorney General William Barr’s indifference to their hysteria over the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.

Barr recently released a brief summary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s conclusions that Donald Trump did not collude with the Russians to warp the 2016 election. Barr added that Mueller had not found enough evidence to recommend that Trump be indicted for obstruction of justice for the non-crime of collusion.

Progressives , who for 22 months had insisted that Trump was a Russian asset , were stunned. But only for a few hours.

Almost immediately , they redirected their fury toward Barr’s summation of the Mueller report. Yet few rational people contested Barr’s synopses about collusion and obstruction.

Both the Mueller report and Barr’s summation can be found on the internet. Anyone can read them to see whether Barr misrepresented Mueller’s conclusions.

Again, there have been few criticisms that Barr was wrong on his interpretation that there was no collusion and not enough evidence to indict on obstruction of justice.

But now Democrats are calling for Barr to resign or be impeached for not regurgitating the unproven allegations against Trump. In other words , Barr acted too much like a federal prosecutor rather than a tabloid reporter trafficking in allegations that did not amount to criminal conduct.

The besmirching of Barr’s conduct is surreal. He certainly has not done anything even remotely approximating the conduct of former President Obama’s two attorneys general.

Has Barr dubbed himself the president’s ” wingman ” or called America a ” nation of cowards ” as did former Attorney General Eric Holder ?…

Has Barr’s Department of Justice monitored reporters’ communications or ordered surveillance of a television journalist ?… Has Barr used a government jet to take his family to the Belmont Stakes horse race , as did Holder ?… Has Barr met secretly on an airport tarmac with the spouse of a person his Justice Department was investigating , as did former Attorney General Loretta Lynch , who had such a meeting with Bill Clinton ?…

The Mueller report ignored the likely illegal origins of the Christopher Steele dossier , the insertion of an FBI informant into the Trump campaign , the unlawful leaking of documents , and the conflicted testimonies of former high-level intelligence officials.

All of those things were potential felonies. All in some way yielded information that Mueller drew on in his investigation. Yet Mueller never recommended a single indictment of any of the Obama-era officials who likely broke laws.

Mueller was instead fixated on possible collusion with Russia. But it is a crime to knowingly hire a foreign national to work on a presidential campaign — in other words , to ” collude ” …

( Bear in mind … The term ” collude ” is found NOWHERE among LEGAL terms ) …

That is exactly what the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee did when they paid British subject Christopher Steele to smear Trump.

Did Mueller argue that the possible crimes of John Brennan , James Clapper , James Comey , Andrew McCabe and other former government officials — lying to federal investigators , perjury , obstruction of justice , deceiving the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court , planting an informant into a political campaign , unmasking and leaking the identities of individuals under surveillance — were only peripheral to his investigation ?…

Not really … After all , Mueller indicted Michael Flynn , Paul Manafort , George Papadopoulos , Roger Stone and others for crimes that had nothing to do with collusion and were far less serious than the improper behavior of top Obama administration bureaucrats.

So what really explains the furor now directed at Barr ?…

One , progressives are terrified that a number of Trump’s critics — Brennan , Clapper , Comey , McCabe — may soon be indicted. They apparently seek to preempt such indictments by attacking Barr , a seemingly no-nonsense prosecutor who will likely follow up on any criminal referrals from any inspector general that reach his desk.

Two , the 2020 progressive agenda — whether defined as the Green New Deal , a wealth tax , Medicare for All or open borders — will not compete well with Trump’s currently booming economy. Impeaching Trump for collusion and obstruction is seen by progressives as the best (or perhaps only) way to return to power. That effort so far is failing , causing even more hysteria.

Three , the Mueller investigation is over , finished after 22 months , $34 million and a 448-page , two-volume report.

There will be no indictments of Trump for either collusion or the obstruction of justice during the investigation of that non-crime. So now what ?…

Since late 2015 , Trump , as the supposed Russian puppet or the Machiavellian obstructer of justice , was nightly cable-TV news fare. Now , such fantasies are shattered. But progressives are not willing to let the Mueller investigation rest in peace and move on with their lives.

Perhaps they feel in the political sense that there is nothing to move on to. And they are probably right.

Democrats’ Collapse Could Happen Quickly …

The woke Left is 30 percent of their party—at most. Identity politics is alienating enough blacks , Hispanics , Jews , white Millennial men , and former Democrat working-class white Democrats to swing the 2020 election to Trump. Socialism , attacks on the second amendment , post-birth abortion , obsession with “ white privilege ” and transgenderism are not jokes to adult voters , white , black or brown—they are reasons to change parties.

There are signs of Democrats’ coming electoral collapse , some anecdotal , some by the numbers. Most Democrats are staying loyal to their party, no matter how far how left their party shifts. But President Trump doesn’t need most Democrats ; he only needs a few to get turned off by the Democrats’ radical proposals and identity politics.

Immediately after the 2018 midterms, it looked as if the strategy of dirtyingPresident Trump in the eyes of low-information voters was working well for them. The collapse of the Russian collusion hoax has changed the equation.

Congress continues to dominate the media with ginned-up hysteria, but many voters are ready to move on to more substantial issues that affect their lives. Real life is a weaker arena for Democrats. They seem to be avoiding it as much as possible , focusing instead on claims that Republicans are white supremacists.

Democrats’ decision to change the demographics of our country through open borders is alienating many Hispanic voters. The attendance figures for President Trump’s El Paso rally sent a shiver of fear through Democrats : 70 percent of rally attendees were Latino , 50 percent were Democrats. This month , the McLaughlin poll shows a 50 percent jump in Trump’s approval among Hispanics.

For years , Jewish liberals have ignored the anti-Semitism of Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton and their party’s left wing , but the very public , very crude Jew-hating of Representatives Ilhan Omar ( D-Minn. ) and Rashida Tlaib ( D-Mich. ) may be a step too far. Although liberal Jews cling to their insulated world of fake news , Omar and company cannot be completely filtered out.

President Trump did not win a lot of black votes , but low black turnout ( 7 to 14 percent below 2012 ) was crucial for his victory in Florida , Ohio , Pennsylvania, and Michigan. No one expects any of the Democratic pack running in 2020 to equal Obama’s black turnout. There is no first-rate black candidate. Will black men vote for any of the 2020 candidates in record numbers , even as they are lacking the excitement of voting for the first black president , and with the economic boom reaching deep into their community ? No , they won’t.

Obama’s genius “ demographics is destiny ” guru , Ruy Teixeira , recently reported that they got their own party’s voter demographics “ massively wrong ”…  Even if Hillary Clinton had the same black turnout as Obama , she would have lost , he says. Democrats can’t attack working-class whites , losing them by 31 points as Clinton did , and win the presidency. America’s coming non-white majority is still under 5-years-old.

Big oopsie …

This point’s interesting …

Vodkapundit Stephen Green writes  “ Democrats Can Kiss Ohio Goodbye ” Democrat strategist Dale Butland believes  “ Ohio has become a Republican state “… PJ Media managing editor and Ohio resident Paula Bolyard explains that blue-collar voters are turning to Trump … “ Support for Trump is solid ” she writes … “ Even my Mom—who has never voted for a Republican in her life … mostly because the Dems have become too radical ”…

Ohio has chosen every president since the 19th century …

Columbus County in rural North Carolina in just two weeks saw 70 Democrats , including County Commissioner Ricky Bullard , do a mass walkout on the party. “ It’s getting to where the Democratic Party is not like it used to be ” Bullard said. “ It’s full of Muslims and full of people who believe in aborting babies up to the ninth month of pregnancy and even my pastor has been encouraging me to change my affiliation because of some of the Democratic Party beliefs.”

To get there , this whole sorry chapter of Democrats’ identity politics should be rejected soundly by good people across the country , from every demographic and walk of life.

Most adult Americans prefer real virtue to virtue signaling , real justice to social justice.

The Democrat collapse could come with surprising suddenness.

James Comey is in trouble and he knows it …

James Comey’s planet is getting noticeably warmer. Attorney General William Barr’s emissions are the suspected cause.

Comey adjudged the president as “amoral.” He declared the attorney general to be “formidable” but “lacking inner strength” unlike — the inference is clear — Comey himself. A strategy of insulting the executioner right before he swings his ax is an odd one but, then, Comey has a long record of odd decisions and questionable judgment.

“Amoral leaders [referring to the president] have a way of revealing the character of those around them,” wrote Comey without a hint of irony or self-awareness. Those whom the former FBI director assembled around him probably rue the day they ever met the man. Most are now fired or disgraced for appalling behaviors that Comey found easy to manipulate to advance his decisions.

Then, just to make sure his op-ed was odd-salted to the max, Comey mused that the president “eats your soul in small bites.” OK, let’s step back for a moment: James Comey appears to be in trouble. His strange, desperate statements and behaviors betray his nervousness and apprehension. In a way, it’s hard to watch.

Comey will claim that everything he did in the FBI was by the book. But after the investigations by Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz and U.S. Attorney John Huber, along with Barr’s promised examination, are completed, Comey’s mishandling of the FBI and legal processes likely will be fully exposed …

It’s bubbling along quite nicely …

Menstrual-themed drink sparks outrage …

For a bar in Ohio , it’s always that time of the month , and not everybody is happy about it.

restaurant/bar in Lakewood , OH , caused controversy online when they unveiled their new berry margarita that comes garnished with a tampon. According to the bar’s Facebook post , one dollar from every purchase will be donated to a nearby women’s shelter.

Yuzu , an izakaya ( casual Japanese pub ) inspired bar , promoted the new drink on Facebook by posting “ it’s that time of the month , time for a new menu that is …”

The drink , called the Even Can’t Literally , is a berry margarita that comes garnished with a tampon. According to one of the restaurant’s bartenders , however , the tampon is optional.

OK … It’s … 7:06 in the morning … I’ve been up for a couple of hours , mind you , and … I’m chuckling  and , literally ! , scratching my head on this one !!! …

Let’s see ya ‘ spar ‘ with this one Junior !!! …

Fortunately Vice-Admiral Norman didn’t fire the females he hired …

You see the phrase ‘ political performance ’ a lot in this business. But the truth is , most politicians , even good ones , can’t perform worth a damn. They’re hams , most of them , by necessity. In politics , nuance doesn’t sell.

That’s what made what Marie Henein did Wednesday so remarkable. For more than 30 minutes , she performed in the truest sense. She put on a piece of political theatre — complete with shrugs , half smiles and quiet asides — that was as understated as it was devastating.

“ Before we get started ” she began , “ I’d just like to introduce the ” — at this point she paused for half a beat and allowed herself the slightest smile — “ all female team that represented Vice-Admiral Norman ”… She delivered her next line in a stone-faced deadpan. “ Fortunately Vice-Admiral Norman didn’t fire the females he hired ”…

You can almost hear the loud hi-hat snap from Doc Sev’s drummer directly after the last word of that sentence !!! …

The reference to Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott could not have been clearer if it was stencilled in red paint on a white wall in letters a hundred metres tall !!! …

Henein was speaking to reporters Wednesday after the charges against her client , Vice-Admiral Mark Norman , were stayed in a surprise court appearance. The prosecutor told the court that , after reviewing new evidence , the Crown no longer felt it had a reasonable chance of obtaining a conviction in the case.

The decision was a massive win for Henein and her client. The politically-charged case against Norman — he was accused of leaking confidential material related to a ship building contract — had come to centre in the public eye , like the SNC affair , around an accusation of political interference in a high-profile prosecution.

Some , ‘ Oh so familiar ‘ , aspects to the case ;

She blamed the Prime Minister’s Office and the Privy Council Office collectively for withholding a host of documents …

Concerns when anyone tries to erode the resilience of the justice system …

“ There are times you agree with what happens in a court room there are times you don’t … And that’s fine … But what you don’t do is you don’t put your finger forward and try to weigh in on the scales of justice “…

The SNC-Lavalin affair has come to define the later part of Trudeau’s tenure in office. And on Wednesday , Henein kept the focus on Trudeau , and his brand , from the moment she sat down.

But Henein was far from finished. Again and again , she hammered in references to the SNC-Lavalin affair without ever making them direct …

“ The decision to stay this prosecution ” she said , “ was discretion exercised by prosecutors and the ( Director of Public Prosecutions ), unimpacted by any political considerations, as it should be ”…

OOOooh !!! … OUCH !!! … Even I would be a tad apprehensive about gettin’ into back and forth barbfest with this crafty ( and clever ! ) witch !!! … ( And I state that in a sincere complimentary fashion ) …

She delivered that last line with a staccato flair , underlining each word as a separate sentence. She slipped in the next one , the most devastating one , as a casual aside … “ That is in fact how things are supposed to work ” she said … “ Politics are supposed to stay out of the prosecutorial process ”…

Ya got that Junior ?!!! … Earth to Junior !!! … COME IN JUNIOR ! … Well , no … Actually … GET OUT JUNIOR !!! … Time to go !!! … November is only months away !!! …

DOJ to Nadler …Threaten Barr With Impeachment , You Get Nothing …

Smart move by DOJ lawyers …

The letter below informs Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler the previous report content was provided without assertion of executive privilege; however , if Nadler follows-through with impeachment plan , executive privilege is now enforced and the totality of the report is withdrawn from congress …

I haven’t figured out how to enlarge that !!! … If you’re around my age and the reading capabilities have degraded in age , it’s a bitch to read … But I did , so give it a shot …

Meanwhile … I’ll get back to attempting to solve that problem …

The article carries on …

The only thing AG Barr was statutorily required to provide was the four-page summary letter he already presented. Asking President Trump to throw the executive privilege blanket over the full work product effectively shields it from congressional review ; AND simultaneously blocks congress from proceeding with any impeachment action.

The assertion of executive privilege effectively removes any lack of production action ( ie. the impeachment threat ) by Chairman Jerry Nadler.

Essentially AG Barr et al is going old school with classic separation of power. POTUS Trump built a bridge from executive to legislative branch with voluntary production … However , if Nadler wants to be a resistance member then the executive branch will pull back and the customary three-branch separation of power rules will be the standard form of engagement.

Smart play …

ABSOLUTELY LOVIN’ IT !!! …

The U.S. Department of Justice said yesterday it would not release an unredacted Mueller Report to Congress if Democrats moved forward with their plan to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt.

The Department’s latest move comes despite the fact that at least two lawmakers — Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) — have already viewed a less-redacted version of Mueller’s report than the one Barr made public last month.

The Department is preparing to ask the White House to invoke executive privilege over Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s entire report and underlying evidence.

If President Trump did invoke executive privilege over the documents, it could tie up the report in a court battle for months.

As the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee continue to bang their spoons on their high chairs, this pointless shitshow is guaranteed to extend through 2020.

Meanwhile … Back to the eyebrow thing …

Pelosi Loves her booze and nachos !!! ,,,

The Congressional Petty Cash Office has released its report for the past year’s spending. Speaker of the House , Nancy Pelosi , had the highest petty cash bill in Congress at $105,086. The number , while high , isn’t uncommon for speakers who have a lot of guests and serve a lot of breakfast and lunch foods for meetings. What is uncommon , according to National Comptroller , Art Tubolls , is the breakdown :

“ We see Speakers spend this kind of money all the time. The difference is , Pelosi isn’t spending money on meetings , pastries , and finger sandwiches — she’s holding cocktail parties with wings , nachos , and a full open bar. Her alcohol tab was nearly 70 percent of her total spend.”

House Ways and Means Chairman Lindsey Graham says there should be an investigation but he doubts it will happen. That’s because Pelosi’s parties are completely legal , according to Constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz:

“ The Constitution guarantees the Speaker the right to serve the common good and to welcome guests with the public trust. So it won’t do any good to try to prosecute her. What we really need to do is get a law passed that alcohol isn’t something the taxpayers will pay for.”

President Trump , who doesn’t drink alcohol , called Pelosi a “ lush with very poor character who should be in rehab.” He’s instructing AG Barr to look into whether or not anything can be done at the Executive level.

Had a bit too much for lunch Nanc ? ..

Mueller Rewrites Jurisprudence – Guilty Until Proven Innocent …

American jurisprudence is based on the presumption of innocence — in other words , innocent until proven guilty. The accused remains innocent unless and until the prosecution can convince a judge or jury that the accused is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Exoneration is not part of this equation for it represents the exact opposite principle , namely guilty until proven innocent. This is an impossible standard as it requires proving a negative. How does one prove that he or she didn’t commit a crime ? How does one prove that Elvis or JFK aren’t still alive , conspiracy theories aside ? Exoneration is an impossible standard and turns the American judicial system upside down.

This is just what Special Counsel Robert Mueller did in his final report on Russian collusion. The 400-page report could have been summarized in four words – no collusion , no obstruction.

White House Special Counsel to the President , Emmett Flood , laid it all out in a recent letter to Attorney General Barr. The purpose of the letter was a rebuttal , an on-the-record response to the Mueller report.

Flood’s report points out a number of key items ;

Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein’s letter from May 2017 appointing a special counsel ? In that letter , Rosenstein tasked Mueller with investigating … “ Any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump.”

The premise of Trump campaign surrogates conspiring with Russians was all a set-up , based on “ spies ” inserted into the Trump campaign.

This entire investigatory spectacle could have ended well over a year ago with a “ no collusion ” verdict , allowing the President to function without the cloud of Mueller and predicted indictments shadowing Trump’s every move and decision.

That last item is very large indeed … As the writer points out … How might foreign leaders have been more amenable to working with the Trump administration knowing Trump wasn’t a Russian agent , as asserted repeatedly by high ranking Obama justice and intelligence officials claiming just that on cable news shows ?… Would the midterm elections have turned out differently ?… Would dozens of Republican members of Congress not have retired if they knew for certain that the leader of their party wasn’t a traitor , as they were hearing daily on the news ?…

That shows the huge scope of damage that quite likely has been caused by this act of ‘ political sabotage ‘… And where would , or could , America be if Trump was allowed to more easily implement his winning strategies ?…

Instead Mueller and his team pivoted to obstruction , and without Whitaker , then Barr, telling Mueller to wrap things up , the investigation would have dragged on for up to six more years , an albatross hanging around the neck of the Trump administration , in essence nullifying a presidential election.

This alone violated two constitutional …

I’ll leave it here with this , but I suggest ya read the whole article found over at American Thinker …

As Emmett Flood explained …

What prosecutors are supposed to do is complete an investigation and then either ask the grand jury to return an indictment or decline to charge the case. When prosecutors decline to charge . they make that decision not because they have “ conclusively determin[ed] that no criminal conduct occurred ”, but rather because they do not believe that the investigated conduct constitutes a crime for which all the elements can be proven to the satisfaction of jury beyond a reasonable doubt.

Prosecutors simply are not in the business of establishing innocence . any more than they are in the business of ” exonerating ” investigated persons.

In the American justice system , innocence is presumed ; there is never any need for prosecutors to “ conclusively determine ” it. Nor is there any place for such a determination.

Our country would be a very different ( and very dangerous ) place if prosecutors applied the SCO standard and citizens were obliged to prove “ conclusively “… that no criminal conduct occurred.

Sorcerer’s ‘ Black With Sugar ‘… To go !!! …

Game of Thrones fans got a taste of the modern world when eagle-eyed viewers spotted a takeout coffee cup on the table during a celebration in which the actors drank from goblets and horns.

The characters Daenerys and Jon did not react to the out of place cup in Sunday’s episode.

HBO clarified with a light-hearted statement about the craft services cup’s appearance.

The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake — Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.– HBO

It was initially not clear where the coffee cup came from. But that didn’t stop some viewers who took to Twitter to guess it was from Starbucks.

Starbucks confirmed fan speculation after posting a cheeky tweet about the Mother of Dragons’ drink of choice.
