Not much happening today … Mired in a state of ambivalence to a certain extent … Very little energy … Winter seems to be suggesting it ain’t quite done with us yet , judging by the temperature today …
Needless to say , not a whole Helluva lot of motivation for a post today … The news just continues to be the same old shit repeating its’ cycle …
Annoying frankly …
So I’ll just pull out a draft I’ve had filed away about how somebody , somewhere , has grouped and named the various ‘ generations ‘ ( as many have , but the years aren’t consistent ) that are still roaming the planet , starting with the one that should be the least populated ( as they’d be 95 or older ! ) …
- The ” Greatest Generation ” – Born 1924 or earlier …
Then we get to my parent’s group , in which they were among the first as the ‘ generation ‘ turned over …
- The “ Silent Generation ” – Born 1925-1945. …
- Baby Boomers – Born 1946-1964. …
- Generation X – Born 1965-1980. …
- Millennials ( Generation Y ) – Born 1981-1997. …
- Generation Z ( Post-Millennials ) – Born 1998-2010. …
- Generation Alpha – Born 2011 to present day.
Now usually … Since there’s anywhere from 15 – 20 years between each ( although you can see here , society is ‘ speeding up ‘ things these past couple of classifications ) it would be frequent that there’d be a ‘ generation ‘ between you and your folks … In my case however , I follow directly after Ma and Pa … That’s ‘cuz they were born in the first few years of their grouping and I came along in the last 4 years of the ‘ Boomers ‘ …
When I look at this … After a bit of deep thinking … I come to the conclusion that , although some of the earliest Boomers are definitely responsible for ‘ planting the seeds ‘ ( In more than one use for that phrase ) when they became young adults , everything really started goin’ down the shitter when the Gen X started half assed maturing and forging forward in the working world ( with supposed responsibility ) …
And began to REALLY fuck things up !!! …
It’s been racing ’round and DOWN the toilet bowl ever since …
