8:56 P.M. A couple opinions to close out the day … …

RS Richard Sharp 1 hour ago

All this over what? The AG has herself admitted NOTHING ILLEGAL took place, just alleged undue pressure, denied by the PM, the Clerk of the Privy Council, Trudeau’s former principal advisor and others. I find it astounding that the corporate media has rushed to judgment on Trudeau, condemning him like they wrongly condemned Dion and Ignatieff before him. No matter all the good Trudeau has done.

Harper? He got off almost Scot free, despite jhang the most heinous and incompetent government since at least WW II. It’s disgusting how Canadians are subjected to extreme RW media concentration, from Postmedia to Sun news.

I was about to reply to this … MORON … But then I saw that Andy got the job done quite efficiently …

Andrew Philpott 1 hour ago Reply to @Richard Sharp :

“No matter all the good Trudeau has done” … And pray tell what would that be? The country is in a mess, the economy flatlined last quarter, thousands out of work in the oil patch because Sock Boy can’t get his act together with pipelines, the “budget will balance itself” is out of control, he’s a laughingstock around the world, can’t get a firm trade deal done for love or money and you have the audicity to claim he has done good. My Lord, have another doobie, might as well, you’re gone.

Nicely put AP … Related to Jane perchance ? …

I thought that would be it .. Then I found this amusing tale over at Kennys …

When ya gotta go , ya gotta go

I talked with my mom for a few minutes tonight for the first time in quite a while.

Neither of us have ever felt the need to stay in constant contact , except for when I was in the army when I got my semiannual letter from her right on schedule. Of course that motherfucker would be a book , because she’d write 3-4 pages every week and would only mail it off while it could still be crammed into a business envelope. Six months later I’d fire her off a half page letter , telling her I had just gotten in from the field or was fixin’ to go , I’m fine , tell Pops I said hello and give my hound Gypsy a belly rubbin for me.

But I did call her tonight , bringing my total time of telephone talking up to 23 minutes so far this year. I’d have talked to her longer but …

She was telling me she had to go to the emergency room last night because she was in pain from being all backed up and they sent her home with some industrial strength laxative, “ You know , the kind they make you drink when you have a colonoscopy.”

Oh yeah , I know the stuff. Then she told me that she’d drank it two hours before and still hadn’t gone to the bathroom. I started laughing and told her , “ Well , when you do , you’re gonna shit like you ain’t never shat before , and it’s going to come on like gangbusters.”

We chatted for about 5 more minutes , her catching me up on who’s dead , who’s dying and who’s in jail and then I swear by all that’s Holy I could hear her gulp over the phone and then “ I GOTTA GO LOVEYOUSON!!! ” and then click.

I’m pretty sure her laxative must’ve kicked in.

7:48 P.M. Atta girl Jane !!! …

OH THE FUN KEEPS BUBBLIN’ !!! …

Jane Philpott , one of Justin Trudeau’s most trusted ministers , announced today she has resigned from cabinet as the Liberal government’s crisis over the SNC-Lavalin affair deepens.

” I must abide by my core values , my ethical responsibilities and constitutional obligations ” she said in a written statement …” There can be a cost to acting on one’s principles , but there is a bigger cost to abandoning them “…

Philpott , the MP for Markham-Stouffville , said she has been considering the events that have shaken the federal government in recent weeks and , after ‘ serious reflection ‘, concluded she must quit.

She said the constitutional convention of cabinet solidarity means ministers are expected to defend all cabinet decisions and other ministers publicly, and must speak in support of the government and its policies.

“Given this convention and the current circumstances, it is untenable for me to continue to serve as a cabinet minister,” she wrote.

What’s Junior gonna do now ?! … He wasn’t prepared for his appointed sheep to suddenly display a .. a … CONSCIENCE ?!!! …

She states further in her letter of resignation  … ” Unfortunately , the evidence of efforts by politicians and/or officials to pressure the former attorney general to intervene in the criminal case involving SNC-Lavalin , and the evidence as to the content of those efforts , have raised serious concerns for me. Those concerns have been augmented by the views expressed by my constituents and other Canadians “.Image result for cottonelle images

6:39 P.M. Timed for International Woman’s Day The National Film Board launches … ‘ Clit-Me ‘… Your tax dollars ‘ hard ‘ at work …

Pretty well everyone knows what a penis looks like , whether in the flesh , in the form of sex toys or from depictions scrawled on the walls of public washrooms. But a woman’s clitoris ? Not so much.

EImage result for clitorisnter the National Film Board of Canada , which on Monday launched an interactive game for mobile devices that takes a playful , informative approach to female sexual satisfaction and the role of the clitoris.

Called ‘ Clit-me ‘, the five-minute game was developed in collaboration with eight students from the Universite duh KBec a Montreal ( UKAM) , as part of an eight-week internship program at the NFB’s Digital Studio in Montreal.

Under the direction of NFB executive producer Hugues Sweeney , the interns were each asked to come up with an idea for an interactive project. The one that resonated most with the group of seven females and one male was looking at woman’s sexual health – specifically women’s sexual satisfaction.

An image from \”Clit-me,\” a new mobile interactive game, is seen in this undated handout photo. This image is loosely based on the anatomy of the clitoris.

Using tactile movements on the screen , the player’s aim is to ‘ satisfy ‘ the avatar with different ‘ techniques ‘ to unlock content and statistics on female sexual satisfaction , moving through five different levels that – spoiler alert ! – end with its orgasm.

Two things here … This is a TAXPAYER COST … Given to the NFB … And that money goes to eight people with nothing constructive to do in KBec ! that hasn’t got any value to the people of Canada !!! …

Trust me … We’ve all been workin’ on the ‘ orgasm gap ‘ thing since we first clubbed ya over the head and dragged ya into the cave by your hair !!! …

Remember … Practice makes perfect !!! … Enough with the ” headaches ” !!! …

4:59 P.M. Another good one from Andrew MacDougall of Maclean’s …

2019canappallblazingcatfurFound at Blazing Cat Fur …

Andrew MacDougall is a London-based columnist, commentator and consultant at Trafalgar Strategy. He was formerly director of communications to Stephen Harper.

Sunday is usually a day of rest but the Liberals were hard at work yesterday trying to recast the hellish SNC-Lavalin scandal.

Battered by three weeks of unrelenting bad news, the Liberals have finally started the hard work of moving the goalposts and lowering the bar on SNC, in the hope that Canadians become confused about the allegations and what’s at stake.

Put differently: the Liberals are now frantically trying to normalize what their 2015 selves would never have tolerated. We’re not in sunny ways any more, Toto.

The Liberal arguments over the weekend were versions of the following: 1) deferred prosecution agreements (DPAs) are legitimate; 2) economic considerations can factor into the decision-making to grant said DPA;  3) “pressure” is in the eye of the beholder; 4) the system worked as it should; and 5) no laws were broken.

The first two points aren’t in dispute—although Liberals don’t like to remind us they brought DPAs in at SNC’s request—and the last three are dark muck being thrown over a what has always been a bright red line.

Yes, countries other than Canada have DPAs to get their dirty deed companies off the hook. And, yes, economic considerations can factor into the decision-making for the attorney general should they want to overrule their independent director of public prosecutions. What the Liberals would like everyone to forget is that these arguments were made by all and sundry to Jody Wilson-Raybould in September, and that she rejected them.

More to the point, the Liberals would like everyone to forget that Wilson-Raybould’s badgerers also used last fall’s Quebec election and this October’s looming federal election as justifications for a rethink on SNC, a clear no-no. In other words, it wasn’t just the “jobs, jobs, jobs” brigade we’re now seeing being swung into action.

New attorney general David Lametti tried an even bolder tactic, appearing to suggest in his interview on The West Block that dictionary-definition partisan considerations like an election could factor into an attorney general’s deliberations. Lametti also claimed he had no idea Wilson-Raybould had declined the DPA for SNC, making him the least clued-in politician in all of Montreal. Well, other than that guy who stopped showing up for work in the House of Commons months ago.

As Paul Wells has noted in excruciating detail, it’s not like SNC hid its light under a bushel, taking out full-page ads in the Montreal papers telling everyone the government they had worked so hard to buy had screwed it out of the fruit of its labour. I’m not denying Lametti was put out to dance to a shit beat, but no professor of law should look so happy (or bad) doing it.

“Interference is perhaps the wrong word in that it implies something illegal is going on,” Lametti went on to say, perhaps not realizing, lost in the fog as he is, that it was Gerry Butts who, according to Wilson-Raybould, used that very word when speaking to her chief of staff. But wevs, eh? Because none of the potted plants in the Liberal chairs at justice committee will be pursuing that particular line of inquiry.

And hey, at least Lametti put his name to it, unlike most of the Twitter troll brigade leading the rearguard action on SNC over the weekend.

As did Ralph Goodale, to be fair, who was sent out on CTV’s Question Period to say that “pressure is obviously in the eye of the beholder”, in reference to the four hours of ‘try again, stupid’ detailed in Wilson-Raybould’s testimony at the justice committee.

Now, that might hold true when it comes to the pressure of reciting b.s. lines on television, but you know Goodale doesn’t want Canadians revisiting the greatest pressure hits of last week’s session. Rockets like :

“ There is no solution here that does not involve some interference.” ( Gerry Butts , ex-principal secretary )

“ We don’t want to debate legalities anymore.” ( Katie Telford , chief of staff )

“ I think [ Trudeau ] is going to find a way to get [ the DPA ] done , one way or another. He’s in that kind of mood and I wanted you to be aware of it.” ( Michael Wernick , ( clerk of the Privy Council )

Of course, these are all quotes from Wilson-Raybould’s version of events, another ‘argument’ Liberals have been making over the past few days. Wilson-Raybould has told only “her truth” warned Chrystia Freeland, suggesting there might be an alternate universe in which finding a way to ‘get it done’ doesn’t involve sacking your attorney general and taking the guy who lives next door to SNC and making it his call as to whether they live or die.

Again, and to be fair, there might just be such a universe. But unless the Liberals at justice committee summon all the relevant players, we’ll never know.

But why are we even getting upset, some Liberals would have us ask? This scandal is boring people to death, former B.C. premier Christy Clark opined on QP. The company didn’t even get what it wanted! The system worked! This isn’t even a vegan nothingburger it’s so nothing !

If you’re a Liberal joining the former premier in making those arguments—and I like to imagine Ben Chin, Clark’s former staffer now starring for Bill Morneau in between his bouts of pressuring the former attorney general on SNC, is—well, then, congratulations to you, I suppose. How quickly you’ve fallen. It usually takes governments 10 years to go from “real change” to “meet the new boss, way, way, way, worse than the old boss”.  Who knew the one thing the deliverology unit actually delivered on was in stripping away the consciences of those elected to the Liberal benches in 2015?

It makes you wonder what the Liberals are hiding. If not on SNC, then in Mark Norman’s case, another mess brought to you by Trudeau, Telford and Butts. It also makes you wonder what Butts is going to be put out to say when he appears on Wednesday.

Then again, going after Wilson-Raybould didn’t really work so well the last time, so I’m sure Butts will be wheeled out to shift the goalposts some more, and to lower the bar to the ground in the hopes we all give up.

Who knows? SNC might even get its DPA while Butts is in the witness chair. As Lametti also said this weekend : “ no decision is ever final ”…

4:15 P.M. A Monday , two table spoon dose of Sarcasm …

An excerpt from an article by Frank Hawkins ;

Guaranteed Income For All :

This is a idea whose time has come. Democrats advocate a basic $15 an hour ( $43,800 ) a year regardless of the job. But why stop there ? Even a high minimum wage will not eliminate income disparity. And as Democrats such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez keep telling us , there is plenty of money out there. We are the richest country on earth.  She’s right. Why fool around ? Let’s mandate a $1,000,000 a year salary for all jobs , as well as for those unable or unwilling to work. Everybody will be a millionaire. Sign me up.

Health Care For All :

Democrats are all in on this issue. Universal health care is a basic human right. Sounds good to me. There is , of course , that nagging issue of how it will be funded. President Trump’s current federal budget proposal is $3.4 trillion.

Bernie Sanders’s universal health care plan would cost $33 trillion.

The answer to funding is simple. It’s the same way we are going to guarantee a $1,000,000 salary for every American. It turns out the government owns the printing presses and can print whatever is needed. If you have doubts on this , just ask the Democrats’ new super star, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez … ( I was thinking Frank was going to say ” just ask Venezuela ! ” ) … Finally , we have someone smart enough to have figured it out.

The Southern Border Wall :

Nancy Pelosi says “ A wall ( along our Southern border ) is an immorality. It’s not who we are as a nation.” We understand. Walls don’t build friendships. They are insulting. They suggest exclusion and superiority , not to mention racism. We need urgent legislation to outlaw all walls and fences in the US …

Particularly walls around the mansions of rich politicians such as Nancy herself and bleeding-heart celebrities. Let’s mandate that all residential and business walls be torn down immediately. The last thing Democrats want is to be associated with anything that is immoral or racist …

And while we’re at it , let’s grant everyone in the world who requests it American citizenship along with a bonus right of admission. Soon, we’ll have a population larger than China. And with a guaranteed $1,000,000 salary , they’ll all be rich. What could possibly go wrong ?…

Gun Control :

We know guns are dangerous. We need to eliminate danger in our society because it upsets the snowflakes. Therefore , let’s just ignore the Second Amendment. All guns should be confiscated and destroyed. Let’s not only disarm all residents of the US including citizens , non-citizens and NRA members , but also police , the FBI and various security forces including all armed guards for politicians and celebrities …

If nobody has guns , there will be no danger from guns and therefore there will be no need to have one. Imagine ! We can melt those guns down and turn them into a railway bridge across the Atlantic as part of a larger plan to eliminate polluting air traffic.

A Woman’s Right to Choose :

In the important cause of women’s health , New York law now supports abortion up to and even after the moment of birth. But what about a woman’s health afterwards ? It’s not uncommon for women to suffer from post-partum depression. There are also serious issues of sleep depravation and the outrageous amount of time that must be spent with a new baby, which can adversely affect a business career or other activities such as going to parties and having fun …

The obvious solution is to extend the mother’s right to choose to the child’s first birthday. After all, there is no real difference in killing a baby one second before birth or a year later , is there ? And killing off all those babies will reduce the government obligation to pay the $1,000,000 guaranteed salaries.

3:53 P.M. These people are creating an ‘ End Game ‘…

A recent study shows the three richest people in the US – Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffett sitting on a combined US$248.5 billion fortune – own as much wealth as the bottom half of the US population, or 160 million people.

Just for fun , toss in Oprah ( 2.5 Billion ) and we’re talkin’ … A QUARTER OF A TRILLION DOLLARS !!! … FOUR PEOPLE !!! …

Portions of these numbers are ‘ value ‘ oriented , but we’re talking CASH here … The three gentlemen are at or near the top … Currently Jeff sit at ‘ Number One ‘ … But Bill And Warren have resided there on numerous occasions … Factor in the other 496 on the Forbes 500 and , I haven’t calculated , but safe to say , it’s got to top a TRILLION BUCKS !!! …

From time to time I always think back to a statement Bill said , I can’t remeber now 15 ? … 20 ? years ago … When asked what it was like having ‘ Billions ‘ … He answered … ” On a personal level , I stopped counting after 20 million … It’s just ‘ numbers ‘ after that “…

Now , with inflation and all , for arguments sake , let’s double , no TRIPLE that … HELL ! … Let’s just say a nice round number like ONE HUNDRED MILLION  …

Oprah could be worth 100 million bucks and gift 24 other people to have that same luxury … Think about Jeff and the other two chaps !!! …

It has to end up where whatever must be purchased by the masses that allow these people to accumulate this wealth , will no longer have anybody capable enough to afford to do so … OK … You .001 % WON !!! …

Now what ? …
