7:12 p.m. … Thoughts abound …

I got a fingertip …
That holds the glass container …
That brings it up the stairs …
It brings it to the cardboard case …
That it knows it only shares …
With all the other bottles …
Whose fate will end up there …

A routine all too familiar …
As the sun slips beneath the visual plain …
That is the horizon …
That I will soon see once again …
But hopefully in a different light …

For this is just another evening …
Where the sun escapes the night ..
Disappearing low beneath that horizontal plane …
That allow the bats to take their flight …

The darkness then encroaches …
With swirling of the mind ‘s thought …
It’s in a frenzy as the next day approaches …
How to pay the piper for what was bought …
Conundrums spin … reach deep within …
Clutch firmly to rip the soul …
The bats must take their final flight …
For their existence takes its’ toll …

The quagmire of cacophony …
In the cerebral place of refuse …
That has evolved within the mind …
To form this catastrophic mess …
Is a constant source of interruption …
Invading evolution of the mind’s thinking process …
It’s why the sun will view …
The brightest offspring’s dying days …
A planet that should only die …
After the parent sun’s last days …

But thanks to mankind …
The animal that rose amongst the rest …
The sun shall exhale it’s final breathe …
As it witnesses it’s offspring’s death …
One that could have been avoided …
In oh so many ways …

The sun will cry a vapored tear …
Another star …
Perhaps near …
Will simply shrug its’ massive shoulders …
Blink an eye …
And form another sky …
Nodding gently …

They had a chance when they were here …
