About to shut it down for tonight … but , before I go , prior to coming up to the computer room , I had a good REAL chat with my father on that earlier mentioned Alex Bell invention !!! People have to do that more these days … I know he doesn’t venture into cyberspace that much at all , but I asked him to check out my blog and participate in future discussions … Don’t know if he will , hope he does ! I’d love to have Dad pipe in … a man with many things to say and all the words are worth takin’ in !!! … As that is his way … there’s quite a bit of humorous wit to be had indeed …

I’ll say goodnight for the moment and take several steps toward my nightly void … and gaze into my eyelids … to fade away to Pink Floyd …

Arrived home a few minutes ago and found three e-mails awaiting me. One was from WordPress … Cleared up some annoyances … Will be less stressed in the future !!! Always a good thing ! Work is enough of a pain , don’t need it here on the computer ! …

Speaking of which , I hope I don’t have to deal with this ‘ virus ‘ that some a-hole plans to unleash tonight or tomorrow !!! Some geek that thinks he’s funny on April Fool’s Day …

Another e-mail was from the John Cleese blog … sending a membership form to join the discussions … filled it out , as it should be a bit of fun ! Always enjoyed John’s wit , dating back to his days with Monty Python.

Crap weather for the BD …

The wine and the weeness of the hour at which I finally hit the realm of the dark side of my eyelids has resulted in a rather slow paced birthday sunday !! … Takin’ it easy … puttin’ back some pints after the initial coffee wake up … The two bros put forth the effort … La said same … Mom and Dad finally called … always good to hear from them … always on my mind ! … But that’s about it …

Entirely expected !

It is , after all , just another day.

It’s the birthday … 49th … I’m celebrating with a bottle of Pinot Grigio from the vineyards of Delle Venezie ( obviously from the big boot !!! … Coffay !! Pasta Fazoo !!… Fiva – tu – nine !!! ) ...

HEY FOLKS !!!… I couldn’t afford a bottle of single malt scotch from Scotland ! OK ?! … Listening to Eric Clapton … The PG’s not bad tho !! … It’s definitely a keeper !! …

I’m listening to a new music file I compiled earlier , Saturday evening … It has a good , mellow feel … fits the mood of this particular time … As I listen to the music I have placed in this file … I wonder if anyone will remember … or care to share a word …

It’s not all that important , so it matters not to me …

But a ‘ hello ‘ would be a nice voice to be heard …

Alex Bell came up with a wonderful device for that !! …

… Sadly , I guess Bill and the boys took it over … and now we are left with the hiding behind type … and playing word ( or possibly … mind ) games … while we all gaze into an ‘ interactive TV ‘ …

9:06 a.m. Half a century …

Day 365 of the 48th year !! …

Well , I’m still here !… Been a bit rough these past couple of weeks , but I’m starting to feel a bit better … I sense a change evolving at the daily grind and hopefully it will gather momentum , thus creating a less frustrating atmosphere to the necessary cycle of five day toil …

The body continues to remind me that I’m not growing ‘ young ‘ and by each Friday I’m embracing the weekend of physical inactivity .

Another birthday arrives tomorrow , with the usual absence of fanfare that comes with the number attached … After all , once you’ve hit 25 , the rest of the ‘ milestones ‘ are a bit of a bummer !!! …

BUT ! As I have stated in the past , I’m aiming to make it to the half century mark !!! Anything after that is a bonus !!

… the countdown commences at midnight ! …

Obama self !!

Switched from the hockey game ( after the first period … ) to the live CNN coverage of the second live address that Barack has done in his first 60 odd days on the job … Which of course , the media is criticizing him for !! … I like the guy !! … He’s talking to the people … And he’s covering many fronts … at this new juncture in his life , I don’t question why he looks a tad ‘ tired ‘ at this point in time …

Enormous responsibility … troubled times … But he’s trying !! I like what I see so far …

It is a sign of the times indeed , when I find myself tuning ‘ out ‘ a hockey game … to watch , with much more focus , another country’s newly appointed leader discuss what’s on his mind …

Maybe I’m getting old … But I think the young need to ‘ re- focus ‘ …

… and the people with ‘ old ‘ time thinking , that caused this dilemma , should pay the price and either ‘ right ‘ it … or go down with their self built sinking ship …

Energy levels still low !!

I’m finding it hard to get motivated , but I’ll keep workin’ on it !!

Hopefully , as the sun begins to linger more each day … the Spring ’s whisper that Summer’s travellin’ in , will fill me with the energy to really dig my heels in …

8:41 p.m. A void within a void …

Under the weather , under the radar …

Not been feeling too well these past few days , so nothing has been posted…

Hope to get back into things tomorrow and spew out some thoughts that I feel are worth considering …

Until then , these thoughts sway within my mind … absent friends , a son beginning his own end , the conception of his life escapes me … I no longer remember the other part of the equation … It’s been too long , yet the scars still remain … I have no desire to see that integer … It saddens me deeply , this sequence of events … as he is a part of me … as he is a part of the other … but he seems so distant … I try to pull our realms together … to spend some valued time with one another and share the things that we should share … as I have done … in a much different situation …

But I come from a different time … A time that no longer exists and is unknown to him … I lament that he , as many others of his generation , have been dealt an unfair hand … They take their situation as the norm , yet it should not have been allowed to become that … and that speaks volumes about how our society has ‘ evolved ‘ …

I shall now slip quietly into sleep and fade into the thoughts that I have aroused in my mind … as is the norm on any given night …

When I awake in the morning , I hope to feel rejuvenated and get back to the business of getting this blog of mine up , running and … worth reading !! …

Oh the 6 O’clock news !!! …

Executive failures cashing cheques for millions … Over paid people whining about being priced out of the market … Some guy holding his daughter hostage for 24 YEARS !! ( in his rather expensive basement set up ) … and having sex with her !! … producing 7 children … 10’s of 1000’s of layoffs … The President of the U.S.A. looking into court action to stop the billion’s of dollars of NON – EXISTENT ‘ stimulus ‘ money from going to those aforementioned failed executives … … Canadians throwing shoes !!! … I’m talkin’ WHITE ! ( obviously POLITICALLY CHALLENGED ! ) … PISSTANKS !! … throwing SHOES ( like they have dropped to the level of the third world that made that famous here ! … thanks to CNN … ) … during a visit , the first ! visit by George , the former President ! … to our country !! …

( I shall get into this in much more depth at another time … )

HEY !!! After about 15 minutes into the newscast every night , I tend to hear the back of my eyelids sing out to me … The blackness and the Pinkness of the Floyd are a much more calming effect after a long day full of ( relative ) aggravation …

Should I witness the end of our ( mankind’s … ) dominance on this planet … I shall not be surprised …
